Montgomery County Recreation’s outdoor pool season will begin Saturday, May 23, with the County’s seven outdoor pools opening for pre-season weekend operations as warmer weather arrives across the region.
During the pre-season, which runs through June 19, pools will operate weekends from noon to 6 pm, along with special Memorial Day hours on Monday, May 25 from 11 am to 2 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm. Beginning June 20, outdoor pools will transition to full summer hours with weekday operations from 1 pm to 8 pm and weekend hours from noon to 8 pm.
“Every summer, our outdoor pools become gathering places for families, kids and neighbors across Montgomery County,” said Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich. “Our County pools are important community spaces where children can build confidence in the water and learn critical water safety skills. They also provide people with a safe, affordable place to stay active, cool off and spend time together during the hottest months of the year. I appreciate the Recreation staff, lifeguards and employees who help operate these facilities. I encourage residents to take advantage of everything our outdoor pools, as well as all of the other activities our Recreation department offers throughout the summer.”
