A Montgomery County woman has claimed a $500,000 top prize after purchasing a Maryland Lottery Gifts of Green scratch-off ticket at the Giant grocery store located at 11221 New Hampshire Avenue in White Oak.
The retired recruiter said her previous biggest Lottery win was $500, making the half-million-dollar prize her largest win by far.
The winning ticket was purchased during a shopping trip and was the last scratch-off she played that day. After confirming the win with family members, she claimed the prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters. The Giant store that sold the ticket will receive a $1,000 bonus.
