Antique and Classic Car Show Returning to Rockville

The Rockville Antique and Classic Car Show, a city tradition for more than 60 years, will return to Rockville Civic Center Park on Saturday, Oct. 17, with registration for participants opening Monday, July 13.

The free event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Rockville Civic Center Park, located at 603 Edmonston Drive. Organizers say the show, one of the oldest and largest of its kind in the Mid-Atlantic region, will feature vehicles from 33 car clubs, along with a flea market, car sales area, food vendors and live music by The Rock-A-Sonics.

This year’s featured exhibit, “Mercedes-Benz: A Century of Amalgamation,” will commemorate the 140th anniversary of Karl Benz’s 1886 Patent-Motorwagen and the 100th anniversary of the merger that created the Mercedes-Benz brand. While admission is free, participants who wish to display or sell a vehicle must register in advance, as no day-of registration will be available.
