Rockville’s annual Movies in the Parks series will return this summer, bringing four free family-friendly movie screenings to neighborhood parks throughout the city.
The outdoor movie series will take place on Thursday evenings from July 30 through Aug. 20. All movies are rated PG, begin at dusk (approximately 8 p.m.), and will feature closed captioning. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, food and non-alcoholic beverages.
The 2026 lineup includes:
July 30: An American Tail: Fievel Goes West at Mattie J.T. Stepanek Park, 1800 Piccard Drive
Aug. 6: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie at Montrose Park, 451 Congressional Lane
Aug. 13: Freakier Friday at Fallsgrove Park, 700 Fallsgrove Drive
Aug. 20: Turning Red at Isreal Park, 357 Frederick Ave.
In the event of rain, screenings will move indoors to the Rockville Senior Center, located at 1150 Carnation Drive. Additional information and weather updates are available at rockvillemd.gov/moviesintheparks.
