All lanes of MD-108 (Damascus Road) are currently closed between Reva Drive and Jarl Drive following a serious collision involving a vehicle and a bicyclist.
Montgomery County Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service responded to the collision at approximately 1:54 p.m. near the intersection of Mullinix Mill Road and Damascus Road. An adult male bicyclist was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
Motorists should expect significant delays and are advised to seek alternate routes while the investigation continues. No estimate has been provided for when the roadway will reopen.
