The 2026 Silver Spring Jazz Festival will return to Veterans Plaza on Saturday, Sept. 12, with Grammy-nominated Afro-Cuban artist Cimafunk headlining the free outdoor event.
The festival begins at noon and will feature Cimafunk and his eight-piece band, La Tribu, performing their signature blend of Afro-Cuban rhythms, funk, soul, jazz, hip-hop and R&B. Organized by Montgomery County, the annual event draws thousands of visitors to Downtown Silver Spring for a full day of live music.
This year’s festival also celebrates the 25th anniversary of Downtown Silver Spring’s designation as a Maryland Arts and Entertainment District. Additional performers and the full entertainment schedule will be announced in the coming weeks. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or low-back lawn chairs, and food and beverages will be available for purchase from nearby restaurants and vendors.
