Mezeh Mediterranean Grill has permanently closed its Downtown Crown location at 262 Crown Park Ave. in Gaithersburg.
The closure comes after the restaurant had been closed for several days and listed as “temporarily closed” on its Google Business profile. However, in an email to The MoCoShow on Wednesday, Mezeh customer support confirmed the closure is permanent.
“Thank you for reaching out. Our Gaithersburg Mezeh is closed permanently,” the company wrote. The company said the closest Mezeh locations for former Downtown Crown customers are now in Olney, Aspen Hill, and Germantown. It also noted that a new location in Kensington is expected to open soon as part of the Crossroads at Kensington development.
The Downtown Crown restaurant had served the Gaithersburg area for nearly a decade and no additional explanation for the permanent closure was provided.
