Canadian coffeehouse chain Tim Hortons has opened its first Maryland location at 6400 Ridge Road in Eldersburg (Carrol County).
Founded in 1964 by Canadian hockey player Tim Horton, the chain is known for its coffee, donuts, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and “Timbits”. Tim Hortons has grown to more than 6,000 locations worldwide.
In April 2025, Hyatt Commercial announced that Tim Hortons was seeking to expand into Maryland with ten new locations planned for Howard and Carroll Counties.
“We’re excited to bring Tim Hortons to the communities of Howard and Carroll Counties,” said Kyle Corman, Senior Real Estate Manager at Tim Hortons. “Our Maryland expansion reflects a commitment to growing in markets where guests are looking for great coffee, convenient drive-thrus, and warm, welcoming spaces.”
