The Festival Salvadoreño Americano will return to Montgomery County this weekend.
The free festival will take place on Sunday, August 2, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Montgomery College’s Rockville Campus, located at 51 Mannakee Street (Parking Lot 11). Organized by Comunidades Transnacionales Salvadoreñas Americanas (COTSA) in partnership with Montgomery County and Montgomery College, the event celebrates Salvadoran culture with a full day of traditional food, live music, cultural performances, crafts, family activities, and community resources.
Now in its 15th year, the Festival Salvadoreño Americano began in 2011 and has grown into one of the largest cultural celebrations for the Salvadoran community in the Washington metropolitan region. The event also commemorates Salvadoran American National Day in the United States, recognizing the contributions and heritage of the Salvadoran community in Montgomery County and beyond.
This year’s entertainment lineup includes La Autoridad de la Sierra, Grupo La Clave, Enrique Cariño y El Original Grupo Miramar, Luis Daniel, Lilo y Grupo Izalco, Moisés y Su Chanchona, Gicela Beltrán, Joana Rivera, DJ Josue, Master DJ and additional performers. Attendees can also enjoy Salvadoran folkloric dance performances, raffles, including a chance to win a 2026 Toyota Corolla, and a variety of local vendors and organizations.
Admission and parking are free, and organizers expect thousands of people to attend throughout the day.
