Ice Cream Worx in Gaithersburg is inviting the community to cool off this Saturday with a special “Cones with Cops & County Fire-Rescue” event featuring free ice cream for kids and the chance to meet local first responders.
The event will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, at Ice Cream Worx, 20215 Goshen Road, in the Goshen Oaks shopping center. During the event, children under 12 will receive a free soft-serve cone when they visit with police officers or Montgomery County Fire & Rescue personnel. Guests can also enjoy 5% off all ice cream, fountain drinks and slushies during the event.
Ice Cream Worx opened late last year in the former New Fashion Nails space and offers far more than just ice cream. The menu includes hot dog boats, mac and cheese bowls, grilled cheese, Belgian waffles, crepes, chicken skewers, street foods and snacks, fresh-baked cookies, espresso drinks, frappes, smoothies, slushies, and a wide selection of ice cream flavors, including Moose Tracks, Cookie Dough, Pistachio, Cappuccino Crunch, Mint Chocolate Chip, and more.
