$2.2 Million Winning Lottery Ticket Sold at Maryland Exxon

A Howard County man is celebrating a $2,205,023 win after purchasing a winning lottery ticket at an Exxon station in Catonsville.

According to MD Lottery, the winner, who has played Lottery games weekly for about 10 years, purchased the ticket at the Exxon at 6037 Baltimore National Pike while on his way home. After scanning the ticket, he received a message directing him to โ€œsee Lottery,โ€ which he recognized as a possible sign of a significant win.

The man previously won $50,000 several years ago and said he had been hoping to experience another major win. After discovering his latest prize, he called his wife to share the news before the couple celebrated at home.ย The couple plans to save the money as they prepare for retirement.

The Catonsville retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
