A Maryland Lottery player won a $4.2 million Multi-Match jackpot Monday night, ending a jackpot run that had continued since April.
The winning ticket for the August 31 drawing was sold at Town Center Market, 4705 Queensbury Road in Riverdale. The winning numbers were 1, 4, 18, 35, 41 and 42. The Prince George’s County retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
The winner can choose between a $4.2 million annuity paid in 25 equal annual installments or an estimated $2.2 million one-time cash payment before taxes.
According to the Maryland Lottery, it is the largest Multi-Match jackpot since a Westminster man won $5.1 million in May 2022. The jackpot was last hit on April 16, when an Ellicott City father won $570,000.
Another 56,762 tickets won prizes ranging from $2 to $1,000 in Monday’s drawing, including 39 tickets worth $1,000 each. The Multi-Match jackpot resets to $500,000 for Thursday’s drawing.
