POP MART will celebrate the grand opening of its new Westfield Montgomery store in Bethesda on Saturday, September 5, with limited-edition merchandise and special gifts for shoppers.
The grand opening event will begin at 10 a.m. at the store, located at 7101 Democracy Boulevard, Unit 3316. According to POP MART, customers will have an opportunity to shop limited-edition items, while special gifts will be available with qualifying purchases.
The collectible toy retailer is already open at Westfield Montgomery. POP MART first arrived at the mall in early 2025 with a vending machine in the Dining Terrace. The machine attracted significant interest from collectors, particularly for the company’s popular Labubu figures, with high demand at times resulting in sellouts.
The permanent store offers a larger selection of merchandise and a traditional retail experience beyond the company’s automated vending machines. Shoppers can also earn rewards on purchases by joining the company’s membership program through the POP MART app.
Founded in China, POP MART specializes in collectible designer toys, many sold in blind boxes that conceal which figure is inside until the package is opened. Its characters and collections, including Labubu, have developed a large international following.
