Rockville will hold a neighborhood walk and roll and candlelight vigil on Thursday, October 15, as part of the city’s Walktober activities.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the Twinbrook Community Recreation Center, 12920 Twinbrook Parkway, and will be hosted by the Rockville Pedestrian Advocacy Committee alongside city staff and elected officials.
Participants will learn about pedestrian safety initiatives, upcoming city projects and Rockville’s Vision Zero initiative, which aims to eliminate traffic-related deaths and serious injuries. The walk and roll will begin and end at the recreation center.
The event will also include a candlelight vigil honoring those who have been impacted by traffic crashes.
