Starbucks at the Clarksburg Premium Outlets (22705 Clarksburg Rd) will permanently close on Wednesday, September 30, according to employees at the location.
The coffee shop is located across from the food court on the lower level of the outlet center.
No reason for the closure has been provided. We will provide an update if additional information becomes available regarding the closure or future plans for the space.
The closure comes as another major restaurant chain prepares to open nearby. A new Chick-fil-A is under construction at 22675 Clarksburg Road near Clarksburg Premium Outlets and is expected to open soon. The Chick-fil-A is being built on a portion of the existing surface parking lot between Cabin Branch Parkway and the upper lot at the outlets. The restaurant is currently hiring as preparations for the opening continue. The Clarksburg restaurant is one of two Chick-fil-A locations planned for the northern portion of Montgomery County, with another location proposed for the Milestone area of Germantown.
