The casinos contributed approximately $68.5 million to the state, including $50.2 million for the Education Trust Fund. Casino proceeds also provided nearly $8.6 million to local communities, $8 million to Maryland’s horse racing industry and $1.7 million to support small, minority- and women-owned businesses.
