Mango Mango Dessert Announces Grand Opening Month for New Rockville Location

Mango Mango Dessert is preparing to open its new Rockville location in Congressional Plaza, with the business announcing a month of special promotions to celebrate the opening.

The Asian dessert chain will open at 1617 Rockville Pike, taking over the former Custom Ink space next to Häagen-Dazs.

According to the shop’s Rockville-specificInstagram account, the celebration will run across four weeks, from September 25 through October 18.

Four weeks of grand-opening specials

The promotions will include:

  • Week 1 — Sept. 25–27: Buy one, get one free on select items, including Fresh Passionfruit Green Tea with Pulp, Coconut Mango Smoothie and Green Tea Mille Crêpe Cake. The offer is available in-store.
  • Week 2 — Sept. 28–Oct. 4: Customers who purchase gift cards will receive a bonus — $5 on a $25 gift card or $10 on a $50 gift card.
  • Week 3 — Oct. 5–11: A free scoop of Alphonso Mango Ice Cream will be offered with any purchase.
  • Week 4 — Oct. 12–18: Customers spending more than $25 will receive a free SpaceExplorer Cup, while supplies last.

The promotions are in-store only and subject to availability.

Mango Mango’s return to Rockville marks acomeback for the brand in Montgomery County. The company previously operated a location at Downtown Crown at 202 Ellington Blvd., where it was open for roughly a year and a half fromOctober 2019 until April 2021. That location opened shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Founded in New York City’s Chinatown in 2013, Mango Mango Dessert has expanded tolocations across the United States. The chain is known for Hong Kong-style sweet soupsand mango desserts, along with smoothies, ice cream, pastries and other fusion-style sweets.
