New Coffee and Colombian Food Trailer Opening This Week

La Poteria Coffee Trailer will hold a soft opening Wednesday, September 16, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 200 N. Washington Street in Rockville. The trailer is located at the Exxon gas station, across from Trader Joe’s.

According to La Poteria, the trailer will serve Pergamino Lomaverde espresso (single-origin), Fresh pandebonos, and “specialty  drinks.”

La Poteria previously planned to open a La Poteria Local location nearby at 115 N. Washington Street, where signage had been installed. Signage for Bogotá Coffee House is now up at that location. Bogotá Coffee House is unrelated to La Poteria.

La Poteria opened its brick-and-mortar location at 19116 Montgomery Village Avenue in 2021. Its menu includes empanadas with fillings such as beef, chicken, spinach and cheese, and pineapple, ham and cheese. It also offers cassava flour and cheese-based “Pan-De-Waffles” in savory and sweet varieties.

Additional offerings include Farmers Coffee infused with cinnamon, cloves and star anise, espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, buñuelos, cheese sticks served with pineapple sauce and Colombian-style hot dogs. Visitors to Wednesday’s soft opening will be able to try the trailer’s coffee and food and learn more about the new Rockville location.

La Poteria also has food trailers at the Clarksburg Premium Outlets.
