Burlington will open a new store at Riverview Plaza in Frederick on Friday, September 25, relocating from its previous location on West Patrick Street. The new store will be located at 5557 Urbana Pike and will feature Burlington’s updated store design, including wider aisles, updated signage and a reorganized layout. The Frederick location will be Burlington’s 27th store in Maryland.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. on opening day. As part of the celebration, Burlington will present a $5,000 donation to teachers at Lincoln Elementary School to support classroom materials. The first 100 customers age 18 and older on Friday and Saturday, September 25 and 26, will receive a $10 Bonus Card toward a purchase.
Burlington also recently expanded in Montgomery County, officially opening its Montgomery Village location on June 26 in the former Big Lots space and marking the grand opening with a $5,000 donation to Stedwick Elementary School.
Burlington plans to open 110 net new stores nationwide in 2026, with each featuring the retailer’s refreshed format. More than half of the company’s existing locations have already converted to the new layout, with the remainder expected to transition by the end of the year.
