Montgomery College has launched the inaugural season of MC Live Arts, a new performing arts series bringing national and international artists to its campuses in Rockville, Takoma Park/Silver Spring and Germantown.
The series features performances at the Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center in Rockville, the Cultural Arts Center in Silver Spring and Globe Hall in Germantown. The season begins September 26 with Grammy-nominated vocal ensemble Sweet Honey in the Rock at the Parilla Arts Center.
Other fall highlights include the Blind Boys of Alabama performing a tribute to Stevie Wonder’s “Songs in the Key of Life” on October 17, followed by music and pop culture icon Charo on October 30, both in Silver Spring.
Grammy-nominated singer and “American Idol” winner Ruben Studdard will perform November 14 in Rockville. The season also includes dance, theater, comedy, family programming and additional musical performances through spring 2027.
