Passion Bakery Cafe has closed its Rockville location at 9613 Medical Center Drive, with Sweet and Sour Cafe set to take over the space.
Sweet and Sour Cafe previously operated a food stand at Westfield Wheaton, specializing in Colombian snacks and desserts. Offerings included salpicón con helado, cholados, smoothies and açaí bowls.
Passion Bakery continues to operate locations in Aspen Hill, Beltsville and Olney. Passion Bakery traces its roots to 1990, when Melvin Mendoza and Huber Mendoza arrived in the United States and began working at a pastry shop inside the Watergate Hotel.
An opening date for Sweet and Sour Cafe has not yet been announced. We’ll provide an update when additional information becomes available.
