Target will celebrate Pokémon’s 30th anniversary with special in-store experiences at locations across Maryland on Sunday, September 27.
The celebration will take place from noon to 4 p.m. at participating stores. Montgomery County locations listed for the event include Target stores in Germantown, Silver Spring, Gaithersburg, Wheaton and Rockville.
Stores will feature Pokémon-themed areas, activities and photo opportunities for families and fans. Guests will be able to create their own Pokémon Trading Card Game card through a drawing activity, take photos at themed displays and receive giveaways while supplies last. Select stores will also offer a demo of Pokémon Pokopia for Nintendo Switch 2. Pokémon merchandise, games and other products will also be available during the event.
A total of 36 Target stores across Maryland are scheduled to participate in the September 27 celebration, including locations in Frederick, Laurel, Columbia, Bowie, Greenbelt, Annapolis and other communities across the state.
The event is part of celebrations marking 30 years of Pokémon, which debuted in Japan in 1996.
