The entire 2026 Oceans Calling Festival in Ocean City has been canceled as a Nor’easter continues to impact the area with high winds, flooding and elevated tides.
Festival organizers announced Friday that the National Weather Service is reporting a stronger and more westward track for the storm system, preventing crews from safely continuing construction of the festival site.
“Tides, floods, and high winds have prevented us from safely continuing the build of Oceans Calling Festival,” organizers said. “Following the advice of the National Weather Service and in cooperation with local public officials, we must make the difficult decision to cancel Oceans Calling 2026.”
The festival was scheduled to run September 25-27 along the Ocean City Boardwalk. Friday’s opening day had initially been canceled due to weather impacts and beach erosion, with organizers hoping conditions would improve enough to hold the Saturday and Sunday portions of the event.
The weekend lineup included Dave Matthews Band, Hootie & the Blowfish, Twenty One Pilots, Gwen Stefani, Mumford & Sons, Matchbox Twenty, O.A.R., Ludacris, 311, Third Eye Blind and dozens of other artists.
Organizers said all ticket types purchased directly through Front Gate Tickets will be fully and automatically refunded to the original method of payment. Refunds may take up to 30 days.
