Shake Shack has delayed the opening of its new Downtown Bethesda restaurant by two days, with the location now scheduled to open Friday, October 2, at 10 a.m.
The restaurant at 7535 Old Georgetown Road was previously scheduled to open Wednesday, September 30. It is located in the former SunTrust bank space on the ground floor of the Element 28 development.
The Bethesda Shack will be open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. Guests can enjoy Shake Shack favorites including the ShackBurger, crinkle-cut fries and hand-spun shakes, along with limited-time menu items such as the new Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Shake.
On opening day, the first wave of guests will receive custom Shake Shack tote bags. Shake Shack will also donate $1 for every sandwich sold at the Bethesda location on October 2 to KID Museum, supporting hands-on STEM programs for children and teens in the Bethesda community.
The Downtown Bethesda restaurant will become Shake Shack’s fourth Montgomery County location, joining existing locations in Kentlands, Westfield Montgomery and Cabin John Village.
