Montgomery County Councilmember At-Large Laurie-Anne Sayles will host a community town hall on Tuesday, October 20, to discuss the future of the county’s solid waste management system.
Representatives from the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection will explain the waste management options under consideration, related research and the timeline for County Council deliberations. Sayles will then moderate a Q&A focused on the potential financial, environmental, operational and community impacts.
The town hall will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Montgomery County Council Office Building in Rockville. Residents can submit questions in advance or participate during the event. Registration is requested by Friday, October 16.
