Glenwood’s, with locations in Rockville, Columbia, and Owings Mills, has announced plans to open its first restaurant outside Maryland. The new location will open at Chesterbrook Shopping Center in McLean, Virginia, with an anticipated opening in fall 2027.
Blueridge Restaurant Group, the Maryland-based hospitality company behind Glenwood’s, has signed a lease for the approximately 7,000-square-foot restaurant, which is expected to accommodate about 170 guests. The new location will feature nightly live entertainment, an outdoor patio, valet parking, and a private dining room with a temperature-controlled, floor-to-ceiling wine display. Construction is expected to begin in early 2027, with the restaurant anticipated to create approximately 90 full-time and part-time jobs.
Blueridge Restaurant Group also owns Copper Canyon Grill, which operates Montgomery County locations at Rio Washingtonian Center in Gaithersburg (100 Boardwalk Place) and downtown Silver Spring (928 Ellsworth Drive). Additional Copper Canyon Grill locations operate in Glenarden and Arundel Mills.
Glenwood’s is known for its made-from-scratch American cuisine, upscale atmosphere, and attentive service. Its Rockville location previously operated under the name Stanford Grill before being rebranded as Glenwood’s.
“We’ve spent years building Glenwood’s into a trusted regional dining brand known for exceptional hospitality and consistently high-quality experiences,” said David Jones, managing member of Blueridge Restaurant Group. “McLean is an important next step for us. It is a community that values quality, hospitality, and great restaurants, and Chesterbrook provides an exceptional setting to introduce Glenwood’s to Northern Virginia.”
