Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) will host its second annual Local Author Showcase on Sunday, November 22, from 1pm to 4pm at the Wheaton Library and adjoining Wheaton Community Recreation Center, located at 11701 Georgia Avenue.
The free, family-friendly event will feature 30 local authors, giving attendees an opportunity to meet writers, explore their books, and learn about the writing and publishing process.
Activities will include author meet-and-greets, panel discussions on publishing and marketing, a Friends of the Library book sale, a “Read to a Superhero” activity for children, and a workshop where teens can create their own mini-magazines.
The showcase is open to all ages, and admission is free. Additional information and a list of participating authors are available on the MCPL website.
