The City of Rockville plans to release its first public progress report on its Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Strategic Plan by June 2027, outlining accomplishments and future priorities.
The Rockville Mayor and Council adopted the city’s first JEDI Strategic Plan on July 27, 2026. The five-year plan, which runs through 2030, establishes goals and measures intended to improve accessibility, fairness and inclusion in city programs, services and decision-making.
During the first year of implementation, from August 2026 through June 2027, the city is focusing on staff training, reviewing language access services and communications, expanding community engagement and establishing oversight procedures.
The plan identifies seven priorities, including program accessibility, community engagement, staff training and language access. Rockville has committed to publishing annual progress reports each spring to document implementation and future steps.
Additional information about the plan is available on the city’s Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion webpage.
