Paws & Relax Cat Lounge is coming to Bethesda, with a winter/spring 2027 opening currently listed for the new business.
The cat lounge, located at 8227 Woodmont Avenue, will offer visitors a space to spend time with rescue cats while supporting animal adoption efforts.
According to Paws & Relax Cat Lounge, the business aims to provide a comfortable environment where guests can interact with adoptable cats, read, socialize with friends or work remotely.
The lounge will also support cat rescue efforts by providing a safe environment for homeless cats awaiting adoption, giving them opportunities to socialize while searching for permanent homes.
Another adoptable cat lounge, Catlands, is also preparing to open at 375 Main Street in Gaithersburg’s Kentlands neighborhood, with a late November or early December 2026 opening currently targeted. Catlands will offer 50-minute sessions where visitors can interact with free-roaming rescue cats available for adoption through a local rescue partner.
