Montgomery County’s Community Paper Shredding and Recycling Event will return Saturday, November 14, from 10am to 2pm at Montgomery College Lot 13 in Rockville in recognition of America Recycles Day.
Residents may bring up to five paper bags or small boxes per vehicle containing personal and confidential papers, including financial and legal documents, receipts, tax forms and medical records. Staples, paper clips and envelopes with plastic windows are acceptable. The event is for residents only, and businesses may not participate.
Paper will be shredded on-site and recycled. Participants must remain in their vehicles for safety and traffic flow, and watching the shredding is not permitted. The event will end at 2pm or when the trucks are full, whichever comes first.
The event will be canceled in case of inclement weather. Updates will be available at MontgomeryCountyMD.gov/Recycling. Montgomery College Lot 13 is located at MD Route 355/Hungerford Drive and Mannakee Street in Rockville.
