The Clarksburg High School Ambassadors leadership club raised over $2,000 to provide 60 Thanksgiving dinners for families in need at Clarksburg High School and Rocky Hill Middle School. The 60-member club collected donations throughout October and November, allowing the schools to identify 60 families who could benefit from additional support during the Thanksgiving holiday.
This is an annual service project for Clarksburg Ambassadors – they have been coordinating this service project for the past 8 years to give back to their community by supporting those in need. This project always generates excitement and energy from the Ambassadors as they know they are really helping their fellow students and their families.
The Clarksburg Ambassadors is a student led leadership club at Clarksburg High School. It is made up of 50 juniors and seniors who perform several service projects within the school and our community. “These student leaders understand the importance of giving back to the community,” said their faculty sponsor Teak Bassett. “They understand that through their collective strength they can truly make a difference in their school and their community. I am very proud of their hard work and dedication in the Thanksgiving dinner drive.”
