Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool Sports and known for his popular “One Bite” pizza reviews, recently reviewed Wawa’s pizza at a Glen Burnie, MD location.
Using his trademark 1-10 rating scale, Dave gave Wawa’s pizza a 2.8, describing it as “disgusting.” Wawa introduced pizza to its menu in 2023 and currently operates a Montgomery County location at 405 S Frederick Ave in Gaithersburg, with a second location set to open in Burtonsville.

In December, Dave visited TinyBrickOven in Baltimore, a restaurant that was set to close on December 25, 2024, due to challenges in securing a liquor license. During his visit, Dave asked owner Will Fagg how much it would cost to keep the restaurant open for another year. When told $60,000, Dave generously offered to donate the full amount. TinyBrickOven earned a 7.9 rating for its pizza.
