The City of Gaithersburg will host its first-ever Gaithersburg Film Festival from April 25 to 27 at the Arts Barn, located at 311 Kent Square Road. “Celebrating the City’s rich diversity. Recognized as one of the most diverse cities in the United States, this festival reflects that spirit by promoting a vibrant array of cultures, identities, and perspectives.”

Recognized as one of the most diverse cities in the United States, Gaithersburg offers the perfect backdrop for a festival that showcases a wide array of cultures, identities, and perspectives through the power of film.
Over the course of three exciting days, audiences will enjoy a dynamic lineup of short films, feature presentations, filmmaker panels, and engaging discussions designed to spark meaningful conversations and offer fresh insights.
Festival Highlights Include:
- Friday, April 25:
Kick off the festival with an opening night reception, followed by a screening of the short film Collage and the feature film Paper Marriage. - Saturday, April 26:
Enjoy a curated collection of short films, including The Burger, Amen Break, and Memory Project. Participate in an interactive filmmaker panel that offers insight into the creative process. The evening features more short films—such as Myself Two Seconds to Cry and Waiting for Galdot—followed by a talkback session and networking opportunities. - Sunday, April 27:
The festival concludes with a screening of the feature film Feast Your Ears, followed by a celebratory wine, cheese, and dessert reception to celebrate the voices and talents showcased throughout the weekend.
