13th Annual Rockville Arts Festival to Feature 130 Artists, Food Vendors; Street Closures Announced

The 13th Annual VisArts’ Rockville Arts Festival will take place on May 3-4, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rockville Townsquare. The event will feature original art by 130 fine artists and artisans, a makers market, art demonstrations, a chalk art competition, and food vendors including Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Dini’s Divine Pies, The Tender Rib, and Sherri’s Crabcakes . The City of Rockville has announced street closures around Rockville Town Square to accommodate the event.

Per the City of Rockville: “The 13th Annual VisArts’ Rockville Arts Festival — a fine arts festival with 130 artists, a community art experience and art demonstrations — will be held 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4 at Rockville Town Square, rain or shine.

Streets will close at 8 a.m. Friday, May 2 and reopen 9 p.m. Sunday, May 4. East Middle Lane will be closed from the HSBC Bank and Helen Heneghan Way to Gibbs Street. Maryland Avenue will be closed from the Garage A entrance to East Montgomery Avenue.

Merchants are encouraged to have all deliveries for the weekend made Thursday, May 1. Festival staff will make every effort to assist in the event of an unexpected delivery.

Parking can be accessed:

  • Through the HSBC Bank parking lot to Garage B.
  • At Helen Heneghan Way, for the Cambria Hotel and BLVD Forty Four residents.
  • For Fenestra residents, Office Building 20 and the 37 Maryland Ave. garage at East Middle Lane and Gibbs Street: Residents will enter/exit at Gibbs Street, starting 8 a.m. Friday. Rockville police will monitor the intersection.

There will be no metered street parking where a road is closed. All garages are available for parking.”
