Great Clips is coming to 835H Rockville Pike in the Wintergreen Plaza shopping center, marking its first location in Montgomery County.
Great Clips is a 100% franchised company with more than 4,400 hair salons across the U.S. and Canada. Known for convenience and affordability, the chain offers features like Online Check-In and Clip Notes, and remains open evenings and weekends to better serve customers.
Wintergreen Plaza is also undergoing other changes. Gold’s Gym permanently closed on Sunday, May 25, and will be replaced by an Ace Hardware franchise operated by A Few Cool Hardware Stores, the employee-owned group behind Old Takoma Ace Hardware and Silver Spring Ave Hardware. Founded in 2003, the company began its transition to employee ownership in 2021 and named Craig Smith as CEO in 2023.
