UPDATE: Brendan Peter Malone has been located in Washington D.C. by the Metropolitan Police Department.Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Brendan Peter Malone, a missing 35-year-old autistic male.
Malone was last seen on Friday, June 27, 2025, at approximately 7 a.m., near the 2400 block of Harmon Road in Silver Spring. He is 5-feet, 8-inches tall, 165 lbs., with red hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, blue pants, no shoes and a blue backpack Please call 9-1-1 immediately if spotted.
When engaging with an autistic person, it is important to approach them calmly and slowly. Avoid making sudden movements or loud noises that might startle them. Speak in a gentle, reassuring tone, even if the person does not respond verbally. Most importantly, ensure their safety and wait for police to arrive.
