The Montgomery County Department of Police Department (MCPD) has released additional information regarding a fatal collision that occurred on Sunday, July 6, 2025 in Wheaton.
According to MCPD, “At approximately 9:30 p.m., 4th District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel were dispatched to location for the report of a pedestrian collision. The decedent, 47-year-old Blanca Elida Parada Del Cid, of Kensington was hit by a car while crossing Veirs Mill Road.
The investigation has revealed that Parada Del Cid was crossing Veirs Mill Road, near Galt Avenue, when she was struck by the driver of a Nissan Rogue. Parada Del Cid was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene.
This is an active and ongoing investigation, and CRU detectives are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call (240) 773-6620.”
