Saturday, August 23rd, and Sunday, August 24th, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM, all adoptions will be FREE at Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center! We expect large crowds and highly motivated adopters for this NATIONAL event! We ask that adopters reserve their time slot ahead of time.

There are separate appointments for cats, dogs, and all other pets (guinea pigs, rabbits, reptiles, birds, etc.). Please use the corresponding link to sign up.

Adoptions are first-come, first-served by appointment. Please make only one appointment, but you can recheck the link repeatedly for earlier time slots.
What to Expect
Schedule your meet and greet time in advance
Arrive 10- 15 minutes early. We will not be able to accommodate late arrivals.

Before your appointment, walk around and choose 2 animals to meet.
During your appointment, you will have 15 minutes to meet up to 2 cats or small animals
Or, you will have 25 minutes to meet up to 2 dogs
Go over medical and behavior information with an adoption counselor
Decide whom you want to add to your family! This may take an additional 10- 20 minutes.
Take your new family member home!
What to Bring
Bring a government-issued photo ID
Bring a carrier or collar/leash to take your new pet home.
Leave your current pets at home.
To help things go smoothly, please take a look at our adoptable animals in advance.
TIPS FOR THE DAY
Schedule only one appointment at a time. Duplicate appointments will be canceled.
Cancel or reschedule your appointment if you can’t make it. You can always come another time!
Be prepared to take an animal home at the end of the appointment!
