8:14PM UPDATE: The ERT in the 22000 block of Cabin Branch Ave has concluded. The adult female suspect was taken into custody at approximately 8 p.m. The scene is secure and the shelter in place has been lifted.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) reports that officers and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) are on the scene of an ongoing incident in the 22000 block of Cabin Branch Avenue in Clarksburg.
Officers from the 5th District were dispatched at 3:49 p.m. Friday for a reported stabbing. Authorities later confirmed that one female is barricaded inside the residence.
No additional details have been released, and MCPD said more information will be provided as the investigation continues.
