A new 3-way stop has been installed at the intersection of Bauer Drive and Russett Road in Rockville following the tragic death of 11-year-old Summer Lim earlier this month.
On October 9, Summer was struck and killed by a school bus while riding her bicycle home from Earl B. Wood Middle School. The collision occurred around 3:13 p.m. as the bus turned from Bauer Drive onto Russett Road.
Summer, remembered as a creative and adventurous student, leaves behind her parents, younger sister, and younger brother. A GoFundMe has been created to help the family with funeral expenses and support during this difficult time.
