Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a vehicle fire Monday evening along Beach Drive near Grosvenor Lane, behind the Parkside condominiums in Bethesda.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the incident involved a single vehicle that struck a guardrail and caught fire. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and one patient was evaluated at the scene but declined medical care. Beach Drive was temporarily closed between Knowles Avenue and Grosvenor Lane while crews worked, but the roadway has since reopened.
