The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) issued a statement Wednesday confirming officers and federal partners served a court-authorized search warrant near the Germantown Mobile Home Park as part of an ongoing felony investigation.
Police said the operation involved the department’s SWAT team, was completed safely with no injuries, and was not related to immigration enforcement.
On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, Montgomery County Department of Police uniformed officers and detectives, with assistance from criminal investigators from federal law enforcement partners, served a court-authorized search warrant at a residence near the Germantown Mobile Home Park as part of an ongoing felony criminal investigation.
We are aware that the law enforcement presence in the area caused concern and led to confusion within the community.
To be clear, today’s activity was related to a criminal investigation and the service of a search warrant.
The warrant service was conducted with the assistance of the department’s SWAT team to ensure the safety of residents, officers, and the surrounding community. The operation was completed safely, and no injuries were reported.
