Permanent signage is now up for Plaza Mexico at the North Pointe at Flower Hill development in Gaithersburg, with the restaurant now targeting a late spring or early summer opening.
The restaurant, which operates several popular Mexican restaurants in the region, is known for its colorful décor, lively atmosphere, and broad menu of classics like quesadillas, nachos, burritos, and churros. The upcoming Gaithersburg location will add a rooftop bar component, bringing a new experience to the Flower Hill area. In November the restaurant received approval of its building permit, valued at $425,486 according to Maryland Newsletters.

Plaza Mexico currently operates locations in Sterling, Va., and two in Frederick, Md., and the Flower Hill restaurant will be its first in Montgomery County.
