Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a vehicle fire inside the service area of Jim Coleman Cadillac, located at 10400 Auto Park Avenue near Westlake Terrace in Bethesda.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the auto garage, where a 2020 Cadillac Escalade had caught fire in the engine compartment. Employees had attempted to extinguish the fire using six dry chemical extinguishers and a garden hose before crews arrived. MCFRS units quickly contained and extinguished the fire within about one minute, preventing further spread.
The building was evacuated as a precaution, and no injuries were reported.
