Prescription Drug Take Back Day Set for April 25

The Montgomery County Department of Police will participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10 am to 2 pm. The event provides residents with an opportunity to safely dispose of unused or expired medications at designated drop-off locations across the county.

The program is part of a nationwide effort to reduce prescription drug misuse and prevent improper disposal. All Montgomery County police stations will accept prescription and over-the-counter medications during the event. Officials note that liquids, illicit drugs, needles, sharps, and syringes will not be accepted. The service is free and anonymous for all participants.
