Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 5th District Investigative Section have charged four juveniles in connection with a stabbing and robbery that occurred in Clarksburg in March 2026.
The incident took place on March 24 at approximately 8:13 p.m., when officers responded to a report of a stabbing on Sweet Shrub Drive. According to investigators, a juvenile male was riding a Ride On bus with friends when he became involved in an argument with a group of juveniles he knew. After exiting the bus near Snowden Farm Parkway and New Cut Road, the dispute escalated into a physical altercation. During the assault, the victim was stabbed and had his shoes stolen.
The victim was able to reach a nearby business, where 911 was called. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
On April 21, authorities announced charges against four suspects. A 14-year-old and a 16-year-old were both charged as adults, facing attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery charges, respectively, and are being held in custody. Two additional juveniles, ages 14 and 13, were charged with robbery-related and assault offenses, with their cases referred to the Department of Juvenile Services.
