The Montgomery County Department of Transportation will hold a virtual public hearing on Thursday, May 12 at 6:30 pm to discuss the proposed Norwood Road Shared-Use Path Project in Olney.
Residents can register to attend and provide testimony or ask questions during the online session. More information and registration details are available at https://montgomerycountymd.gov/DOT-Engineering/NorwoodRoadSUP.html.
The project includes the design and construction of a 1,400-foot shared-use path along Norwood Road between Olney-Sandy Spring Road (MD 108) and Ashton Forest Way. Officials say the path will be part of the Heritage Triangle Trail, aimed at improving pedestrian and cyclist access to local destinations. Public input is encouraged and may influence the final design, with additional comments accepted through June 12.
