Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded as mutual aid to a three-story apartment building fire in the 2000 block of Drexel Street in the Takoma/Langley area of Prince George’s County around 6:53pm on Saturday.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, firefighters arrived to find fire showing from the top floor with reports of people trapped inside the building.
One person was transported with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after reportedly jumping from a window. The fire has since been extinguished, and multiple MCFRS units assisted Prince George’s County Fire/EMS on the scene.
