Beyond Comics at 18749 N Frederick Ave in Gaithersburg will host Free Comic Book Day on Saturday, May 2, from 10 am to 8 pm, offering free comic books to attendees as part of the nationwide event.
The event is open to all ages and will feature a selection of titles from major publishers for both new and longtime readers.
In addition to free comics, the store is encouraging attendees to bring non-perishable food donations for the Frederick Food Bank, with additional comics offered as a thank-you. The event will also include a special appearance by comic creator John Watkins Chow, who will be available for meet-and-greets and signings.
