A Frederick mom has launched a new food trailer, Bonus Bites, set to roll out across Frederick County this spring with a menu focused on creative tater tot dishes.
Created by Frederick County resident Laura Cooper, the concept was inspired by her experience managing busy family schedules and looking for convenient food options at sports and community events. The menu features items like crab-topped tots, fully loaded tots with chili and queso, bacon and ranch tots, and breakfast options such as burritos and bowls, along with lighter offerings like a kale salad and simple snacks.
Bonus Bites plans to operate at local gatherings throughout the county and will hold its grand opening on May 2 from 10 am to 3 pm on Pennsylvania Avenue in Walkersville during the Pop-Up on Penn event.
“bonus bites is a family-run, female owned food trailer serving fun, flavorful comfort food. As a blended family of nine, we show up where our community gathers—especially at local sports fields—to serve food that’s easy, warm, and welcoming. Come try our gourmet tater tot bar, with plenty of flavors to choose from—tots your way, always served with care. With bright colors, good vibes, and our mascot Tate the Tot, we’re here to make every bite a bonus.”
